Federation of Surf announce the National Circuit DayStar 2009 - 2010 presented by LimeCoral  

• Metropolitan Surf Circuit in its second season, which combined with the final National Circuit DayStar for a real Surf Festival in June.
• With the return of the Triple Crown of Winter in 2010, this year is the busiest ever seen at the national event with a total of 13 dates in three different championships

After the resounding success of the Costa Rica World Surfing Games returns to action the Surf Championship in our country this year called, National Circuit DayStar 2009 - 2010 which is presented by Lime Coral, which start on 19 December in Jaco Beach with the first dated and returns to the Caribbean after seasons of not going.

This new season is added a later date regarding the above, while returning to two great destinations for surfing such as Puerto Viejo of Limon and Esterillos or Parrita on the second date that remains to define the beach where the competition will be. In conjunction with the Surfing Association of the Caribbean, finally achieved resume competition in Limon.

The first six dates will be category 4 Stars, leaving for the curve of the Hermosa Beach 5-Star grand finale which establishes the new national champions. Of the total of seven dates, will be the best four that add the total score per competitor.

Thus, for this season the chances of a good final paper will be more accessible to competitors, this is because being six first dates in the same category, there is more likely to go up low scores before the final at Hermosa Beach. And with this the National Circuit DayStar will have a greater constancy of surfers at every stop.

Moreover and strategically, the Surf Federation of Costa Rica (FSC) scheduled the grand finale of the Championship in the month of June the 24, 25 and 26, corresponding to the period of 15 days vacation in schools and colleges .With this, the institution ensures an important number of visitors that weekend.

According to José Ureña, President of the FSC, two points were taken into account in the planning of this next circuit, they were not interfering in the academic year of competitors, and finally did not leave much time without competition surfers in the country. For the first time the championship runs through June with a date a month since December.

In the season 2008 - 2009 in six dates were received about 1,500 enrolled. This season the Federation considers the arrival of about 2,000, largely due also to the strong incentive that the World Surf placed in young surfers and non surfers in the country.

And is that according to surveys conducted by various media in the country, pointing to the surf as the sport that has evolved in recent years in Costa Rica. Hence the importance in further promoting the origin of the results that this sport is giving: the National Circuit.

Similarly, the National Circuit DayStar premiere category number 15 which corresponds to the female Sub 15. In Latin America, Costa Rica Championship shines with more categories and recorded is dated.

"This year the categories with less than 15 years are very strong in both genders and that's why they give the greatest possible blank. This says we need to ensure the level in the lower thinking always continues to evolve in international performances, "said Ureña.

In this new time, trade and marks in generally very prestigious national and international joined the Championship in showcasing DayStar hotel chain and the LimeCoral clothing brand inspired by the Costa Rican culture.

Also Mango, Witch’s Rock, Quiksilver, Britt Iced and DayStar will be called the dates in Jacó, Tamarindo, Santa Teresa, Nosara and Playa Hermosa respectively.

For the current National Champion Sub 16, Sub 18 and Open, Carlos Muñoz, the level of the surfers under 18 years "is extremely strong, so much so that of Esterillos prevent surprises in the Open from the group Juniors stand today as Maykol Torres, Jordan Hernandez, Anthony Fillingim, Anthony Segura, among others, who are now level with the most demanding category: Open.

Surely Muñoz prefer not to certify this year defending his title, since 2010 is scheduled for the most demanding international schedule for a surfer of 16 years in Costa Rica. Among his objectives are to participate in the ALAS Latin Tour, the ASP Pro Junior and some dates of the ASP World Tour, the World Qualifying Series (WQS).

"While the dates do not clash I'll be there," Munoz said the champion.

This year approaches ultimately be the most active in national tournaments that represents, because next seven rounds of the National Circuit DayStar will be run three Metropolitan Circuit (for residents of provinces surfers offshore) and the Triple Winter Crown returning in July with cash prizes, the best season for the Pacific waves.

In fact, the grand finale of the Metropolitan merges with National Circuit DayStar in three days of pure surfing. Part of the objectives that the Federation is running surfers Surfing Championship "Citadines" is that they gradually join the National looking to increase their level surfer.

Thus, three weeks in a busy season starts to put the best surf in the country in 13 dates from December until about September, not even counting the three outputs of the country as envisaged under the Federation for the National Team in 2010 to commitments in Central America, Continental and Global.

The National Surf Circuit DayStar 2009 - 2010 is made through DayStar Properties, LimeCoral Apparel Company, Red Bull, Radio 911, Quiksilver, Britt Iced, Witch's Rock Surf Camp, Mango Shop, Banzaii Surfboards, Carton Surfboards, Odessa Clothing, Ibarquero Design and Surfos magazine.
