VIDA Hermosa Restaurant was started by Juan Bernini Segura. This places is extremely chill restaurant located just north of Surf Inn Hermosa that features great ambiance, good vibrations, surf videos and relaxing music.  Here you will find some of the best typical Costa Rican plates in the Central Pacific zone, fresh fish plates and sushi on the weekends.  Their watermelon smoothies are among the best in the area.  VIDA Hermosa serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and  is a great new addition to food in Playa Hermosa.

The Backyard Hotel & Bar is located a few hundred meters South of Surf Inn Hermosa and 5 minutes South of Jaco Beach.  The Backyard is widely known for their weekly Saturday Surf Series.  WIth over 10 years of history, this famous bar and restaurant features a grassroots surf contest every Saturday and it is an event not to be missed.  Not only will you see some of the best surfing talent in the country, but you will also hear some of the best  live music in the Central Pacific zone.  This is a great spot to drink a cold one, grab a bite to eat and take in the sunset.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in their open air restaurant; and they cater to surfers with a wide variety of dishes ranging from Tex-Mex to American food.  Wednesday night is the original ladies night in Playa Hermosa.
