This places is extremely chill restaurant located just north of Surf Inn Hermosa that features great ambiance, good vibrations, surf videos and relaxing music. Here you will find some of the best typical Costa Rican plates in the Central Pacific zone, fresh fish plates and sushi on the weekends. Their watermelon smoothies are among the best in the area. VIDA Hermosa serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a great new addition to food in Playa Hermosa.

Platinum Gym is located 5 Minutes North of Surf Inn Hermosa on the south-side of the main strip in Jaco Beach. This new modern gym features state of the art fitness equipment and a fitness room in which spinning classes are held. Platinum gym is located 300 meters south from Mas x Menos grocery store, in front of El Mar on the second floor. The hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm. Passes are available daily, weekly or monthly.

The Backyard Hotel & Bar is located a few hundred meters South of Surf Inn Hermosa and 5 minutes South of Jaco Beach. The Backyard is widely known for their weekly Saturday Surf Series. WIth over 10 years of history, this famous bar and restaurant features a grassroots surf contest every Saturday and it is an event not to be missed. Not only will you see some of the best surfing talent in the country, but you will also hear some of the best live music in the Central Pacific zone. This is a great spot to drink a cold one, grab a bite to eat and take in the sunset. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in their open air restaurant; and they cater to surfers with a wide variety of dishes ranging from Tex-Mex to American food. Wednesday night is the original ladies night in Playa Hermosa.

Manuel Antonio is located approximately 1 1/2 hours south of Surf Inn Hermosa and is one of the most visited National Parks in Costa Rica. It features not only rainforest, but spectacular white sand beaches. This is a great side trip from Surf Inn Hermosa and highly recommended with a guide who can show you all of the wildlife of the park. This picture features one of the famous three-toed sloths that can be seen thru the telescopes of the nature guide. Manuel Antonio’s nature trails are awesome to hike and take in all wildlife ranging from toads and iguanas to monkeys, toucans and songbirds. In 2011, this park was voted as one of the most beautiful national park by Forbes.
